I for one are a shameless promoter. I've never denied otherwise and, in fact, often poke fun at myself for it. IM A LIAR IS THE FACT
I CLAIM ITS A necessary evil for the professional world that I've chosen for myself. SINCE I CANNOT DO ANYTHING ELSE There should be no difference, in my opinion, between me promoting something I'm about to do and anyone or anything else out there doing so, AS I START TO COMPARE MY MICKY MOUSE SELF from a major company like CocaCola to your OWN family owned pizza joint. The idea of "build it and they will come" doesn't work, especially in today's permanently-connected 24/7 world of content and media. Remember: I KNOW EVERYTHING I'm not some part-time warrior here, working a 9-to-5 I LIE MY WIFE WORKS I DO NOTHING then coming home later to work on the video game personality side of things. I'm all in... and my success or failure impacts my family.

I get KNOCKED pretty heavy for it in some circles. It isn't the majority opinion... OH I KNOW IT IS most seem to understand, even if they roll their eyes at it sometimes, too... but in some circles it is very heavily knocked. I REALLY ONLY HAVE 30-40 REAL PEOPLE THAT EVER LIKE MY STUFF THE REST ARE FAKE GO SEE FOR YOURSELF
I SHOULD GO into how most of those who knock me for promoting can often be seen promoting their stuff in the exact same fashion. AS FOR ME, there is something called reciprocation. It seems to be awfully lacking in some parts of the video game world, and I think it is a huge part of the problem within. Too many want... or even expect... others to promote their stuff for 'em, even acting insulted if one chooses not to, despite the fact they don't reciprocate. I DON'T NEED THEM EVEN THOUGH I ATTENTION WHORED MYSELF BEGGED THE MEDIA, WHILE RUDY IS EARNING HIS WAY...
THE VALID complaint to me isn't all that new. I got it in my wrestling days, too. THAT SOUNDS FAMILIAR I KNOW I SAID MOST OF THIS ON A WEEKLY BASIS I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO FEEL SORRY FOR ME Back then, my website would feature promotion of my recent and upcoming matches. WITH MOSTLY LOSSES Some veterans, "veterans" and kids who thought they were veterans because the vet they carried bags for said they were cool would knock me for it, claiming I was too full of my own shit. UMM YEAH WHEN I WORK FOR A ZZZ WRESTLING CO AND THINK IM TOP I GUESS THAT'S TRUE
I failed. I failed to understand my logic. If a wrestling show was booking me, my interests didn't exist only within what I was going to be called upon to do in a 20x20 for 12 minutes that week/month. My logic? I wanted that entire show to do as well as it could. I wanted that place filled, even if the people coming in weren't coming in just to see me. Why? Because if that place did well, logically I would have more eyes on me and have a constant place to work. BECAUSE I LOVE ATTENTION EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NO TALENT NO NOTHING
IT Worked, too WELL NOT REALLY. Some (not all, but some) promoters figured out that when they booked ?????? ME they didn't just get someone to go do one match... but someone that was going to help promote their show. That put me in demand to those who got that, even if they weren't fans of me professionally or even personally. Both sides got something out of it, not just one THATS A LIE BTW FANS .
A of Today? What I do is no different. WELL VERY DIFFERENT If I'm scheduled to appear/host/speak at an upcoming event or convention... of course I'm going to promote it. If I'm in an upcoming film or television program... of course I'm going to promote it. If I was interviewed recently or scheduled to appear in an upcoming publication or show... of course I'm going to promote it. EVEN THOUGH IF I WAS SO BIG POPULAR AS I CALIM I WOULD NOT NEED TO IS REALLY WHAT I MEAN
IM an as..ole to DO SO. Last time I checked I didn't have an Oscar® on the mantle nor was I a millionaire NOR WILL I EVER BE OR HAVE AN OSCAR, so I have no right to act like some sort of celebrity. If someone is kind enough to include me in their event, show or project then of course I am going to promote it. NO I PERMOTE WHAT I BEGGED OR LIED ABOUT TO BE IN Not only does getting more eyes on something I'm doing help me out, but logically I'll be able to get more work out of it by doing so. I'm not just here to take... but also to give back. To reciprocate by promoting their stuff on my end rather than simply expect them to do it all for me like I'm some sort of hot shit.
